Buying and selling property

Buying and selling property is the most important financial transaction that most of us ever undertake.

You need expert advice to take you through the whole process and to make the transactions as smooth and trouble-free as possible.  Led by partner Graham Norman and Licensed Conveyancer Stuart Baldwin, our Residential Conveyancing Department has just that experience.

We can take care of all the legal aspects associated with buying, selling, owning or renting out a home.

Dollman and Pritchard has one of the largest and most specialised legal teams in the Tandridge area, dedicated to helping clients buy and sell residential property.

Our specialist lawyers can help you in the following ways: -

Estimates

Steer clear of those unpleasant surprises when the information you’ve been given proves to have been off the mark.  We are always pleased to give you a comprehensive written estimate of costs, itemising all expenses that can be identified at the outset and without any obligation on your part.

Buying or selling your home

Whether you’re buying for the first time, or an old hand at buying and/or selling, we can provide you with a professional, efficient and personal service from our Conveyancing teams – and one where we always try to steer away from jargon.

Dealing with freehold and leasehold titles

Our experts are equally at home with either type of property.
You should note that there are additional items of expense involved when you have to buy or sell leasehold property, so it is important that you budget for them.  For example, it is often the case that you have to repay the seller for service charge and ground rent payments made in advance.  It will also be necessary to serve a Notice of your purchase on the Landlord and there is usually a charge made by them for this.

Remortgaging

We can help you with the legal aspects of re-mortgaging your property - for example, when you want to take advantage of more attractive interest rates. The size of our team and our ability to undertake key elements of our work on line mean that we can progress re-mortgages rapidly and smoothly
