Option Agreement

An Option Agreement is a contract which gives a Developer the right to buy land, subject to obtaining satisfactory planning permission for any future development that they may wish to undertake.

The Commercial Department has experience in all manner of Option Agreements, acting for either the Developer or the Landowner.

Developer

Working on behalf of a Developer, the Commercial Team will:-

  • Draft suitable Option Agreement
  • Investigate Title
  • Raise pre-contract development enquiries
  • Negotiate Option Agreement with Landowner’s Solicitor

Dollman & Prichard will ensure that all of the above is dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Landowner

Working on behalf of the Landowner, the Commercial Team will;-

  • Explain the Option Agreement in Layman’s terms
  • Amend Option Agreement as appropriate
  • Negotiate Option Agreement with Developer’s Solicitor
  • Assist with any developer enquiries
